the waves hiding
the stain in my star
newly fallen
to burn the forest
but wait there’s more
nonsense to chew
in the shadowy
corner wearing
a hood hand on
a bottle of pills
and years later
telling the story
you make it sound cute

light across the water claims no pills stick in that throat

snowflakes in the wind’s groan swallow pills one by one
