I had three lovely homes in the region
and a farm that was just starting to make
some money. The loot was getting better
and my skills were starting to ripen. I
had a long-term companion I was quite
fond of and just today, as I passed, an
orphan asked if I’d be her mother—I’d
never hesitated before—but as
I hurried to my home near the city
gates I saw I was carrying too much
to be able to run. Then that error
started popping up. No matter how far
back I couldn’t find a file that wasn’t
corrupt.
